As another birthday draws to a close, I remember a Facebook post I made in a moment of clarity the year after my husband died...
"Thanks to everyone that helped me celebrate my birthday this evening 🍸Another year older and hopefully wiser. As strange as it seems, from a young age I've always wanted to be older, and life over the last few years has reinforced that wish. It has never been about wishing the years away, and now I truly understand that it's about appreciating something that not everyone has the privilege to experience. Looking forward to enjoying the next 32 years with you all
